Soccer Game Preview: Collegium Charter vs. Jenkintown

The Collegium Charter Cougar will take on the Jenkintown Drakes at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Collegium Charter's offense. They came up short against Calvary Christian Academy last Wednesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for Collegium Charter in their meetings with Calvary Christian Academy: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Jenkintown was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They lost 4-0 to Calvary Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, Jenkintown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 261st, while Calvary Christian Academy are ranked 30th).

Collegium Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Jenkintown, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.

Collegium Charter beat Jenkintown by a goal in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, winning 3-2. Will the Cougar repeat their success, or do the Drakes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
