Football Recap: Colfax Falcons vs. Lincoln Fighting Zebras
Colfax lost against Lincoln back in October of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Colfax Falcons fell 28-20 to the Lincoln Fighting Zebras. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Fighting Zebras 7-6 in the first quarter.
Although Colfax took the loss, they still got scores from Josiah Rubidoux and Garrett Lewis.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lincoln to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Duff, who rushed for 20 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 89 yards and a touchdown while completing 76.9% of his passes. Michael Neely was Duff's top target, picking up 62 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 37 yards.
This is the second loss in a row for Colfax and nudges their season record down to 3-6. As for Lincoln, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
Colfax does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lincoln has already played their next match, a 35-14 victory against Marysville on the 1st.
