Basketball Recap: Four Straight Road Wins for Fort Bend Clements

Fort Bend Clements had won three straight road games and Aziz Olajuwon did his part to make it four on Saturday. The Fort Bend Clements Rangers walked away with a 66-54 win over the Fort Bend Dulles Vikings thanks in part to Olajuwon, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and ten rebounds. His afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Malik Olajuwon, who posted five points in addition to ten assists and five boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in assists.

When it comes to explaining why Fort Bend Dulles lost, don't look at Jaylen Koovakada. Despite the final result, he went 11 for 24 en route to 32 points and five assists. Koovakada has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Jayden Redhead was another key player, putting up 14 points and five rebounds.

Fort Bend Clements' victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Fort Bend Dulles, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-21.

Fort Bend Clements has already played their next match, a 56-52 win against Fort Bend Austin on the 23rd. As for Fort Bend Dulles, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 75-64 loss against Fort Bend Hightower on the 23rd.
