Soccer Game Preview: Lake Minneola vs. East Ridge

Lake Minneola is 1-9 against East Ridge since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Lake Minneola Hawks will face off against the East Ridge Knights at 7:00 p.m.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Lake Minneola challenged South Lake last Tuesday. Both finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Hawks' first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, East Ridge was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They came up short against Windermere, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 184th, while the Wolverines are ranked 40th).

East Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-2. Lake Minneola's draw gives them a new season record of 1-2-1.
