Volleyball Recap: Osawatomie Extends Winning Streak to Three

Osawatomie entered their tilt with Pleasant Ridge on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Rams. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Osawatomie got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-20, 21-25, 25-11.

Madison Hampson paced Osawatomie's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hampson got some help from Lexie Palmer and her 18 assists. Hampson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with ten aces.

Osawatomie's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Pleasant Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10-7.

Coincidentally, Osawatomie and Pleasant Ridge will both be playing Wellsville the next time they take the court. The Trojans will head out to face the Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Rams will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
