Soccer Recap: Hueytown Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bessemer City last Thursday, Hueytown came back down to earth. The Hueytown Golden Gophers fell just short of the Montevallo Bulldogs by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.

Hueytown's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Montevallo, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hueytown will welcome McAdory at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give McAdory their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Montevallo, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shelby County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Shelby County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.
