League recap: Henderson leads league with six wins since last week

3A Region II District 16 league recap: 3/13/13

Henderson had a successful week, as it won six total games to lead the league. The Lions beat Mt. Pleasant 5-2.

Ben Hollas was on fire this week, as he led 3A Region II District 16 with a .667 average with five RBIs. Meanwhile, Spring Hill put together a 2-0 week.

The Panthers' pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 13 hits and nine walks to lead the league in both categories.

The league boasted four .400 hitters over the past week. The group was paced by Nathan Methvin, who collected seven hits in nine at bats for a .778 average.

Nathan Methvin led the league with seven hits this week for Spring Hill. On the season, he's hitting .480 and ranks third in the league with 12 hits.



Jeffery Holt led Henderson to a win on March 5, as he notched 15 strikeouts to beat Chapel Hill, 10-2. He gave up five hits and two runs over seven innings of work.

Arqez Walton drove in four runners on Tuesday in the Lions' 10-2 victory over the Bulldogs. He went 3-for-5 and scored two runs.
