Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask LaVergne). They blew past the Clarksville Wildcats, posting a 67-40 victory. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Wildcats are ranked 286th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

LaVergne's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7. As for Clarksville, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. LaVergne will host Rockvale at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rockvale is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.9 points per game this season. As for Clarksville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kirkwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
