Baseball Recap: Lockhart Comes Up Short

Lockhart lost against Glenn back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lockhart Lions lost 11-4 to the Glenn Grizzlies. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly seven runs.

Lockhart saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Waylon Phillips, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. Parker Conner also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Lockhart and nudges their season record down to 7-6. As for Glenn, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-9-3.

While Lockhart had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
