Cambria Heights and Westmont Hilltop pushed the score to 17-6 the last time they played Westmont Hilltop, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Highlanders never let the Hilltoppers get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. For the Highlanders, this counts as revenge for the 17-6 win the Hilltoppers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2021.

The team relied heavily on Ethan Kline, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Cambria Heights has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Westmont Hilltop, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.
