Davis McKenzie was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those hits marked the first that he got this season.
