On the hitting side, Oak Lawn saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Manny Rangel, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Riverside-Brookfield was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They fell just short of Willowbrook by a score of 2-0.

Riverside-Brookfield's loss dropped their record down to 19-13. As for Oak Lawn, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-13.

Oak Lawn might still be hurting after the 11-1 loss they got from Riverside-Brookfield in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
