Soccer Recap: Mt. Carmel Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Mt. Carmel has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Academy of the Sacred Heart Cardinals. That's two games in a row now that the Cubs have lost by just one goal.

Mt. Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 16-3-2. As for Academy of the Sacred Heart, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-2-2.

Mt. Carmel is taking a road trip to challenge St. Thomas More at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Academy of the Sacred Heart, they will welcome McGehee at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
