Softball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson lost against Federal Way back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Raiders fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 13-12. The Raiders just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Jesabella Arceo led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ava Robertson, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Federal Way, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-10 record.

Coming up, Jefferson will face off against Decatur at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Golden Gators have averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season. As for Federal Way, they will take on Auburn Mountainview at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
