Collins proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 25) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past McLaurin 70-67. Winning may never get old, but Collins sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
McLaurin lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was TY Williams, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 29 points in addition to eight assists and five boards. The game was his fourth in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Isaac Davidson, who went 7-for-9 en route to 16 points and five rebounds.
Collins' victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for McLaurin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.
