ALFREDO ENCINAS posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against Marana back in April of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. ENCINAS has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

Coming up, ENCINAS and Sunnyside will venture away from home to face off against Rincon/University at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
