Herta went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Carlson went 3-for-4 with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most hits Carlson has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Isaac Saroughian, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI.
Trinity Classical Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in five consecutive matchups.
Desert Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8-1. As for Trinity Classical Academy, their win bumped their record up to 13-11.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Desert Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Trinity Classical Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
