Basketball Game Preview: Barrie vs. The Lab School of Washington Dragons

Barrie will face off against The Lab School of Washington Dragons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Wednesday, Barrie came up short against Yeshiva and fell 56-44. Barrie has struggled against Yeshiva recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Barrie might have lost, but man, William Johnson was a machine: he went 6 of 10 to rack up 19 points. Another player making a difference was Gunnar Nelson, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 11 points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, The Lab School of Washington suffered their biggest defeat since December 12, 2024 on Saturday. They were dealt an 81-39 loss at the hands of Maret. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' District of Columbia basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Frogs are ranked 12th).

Barrie's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for The Lab School of Washington, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5.
