The Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 86-45 victory over Neuse Christian Academy. Winning may never get old, but Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Leading Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill to victory were Kyren Smith and Noah Kim. Smith dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 assists, while Kim went 11 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 37 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kim has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Powery, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Neuse Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Aiden Graham scored 18 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Josh Martin, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Neuse Christian Academy, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill will take on Trinity Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Neuse Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Friendship Christian at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Friendship Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Thursday.
