Baseball Recap: North Hills Christian Continues Home Dominance on Monday

While North Hills Christian put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Faith Academy Charter. The Eagles put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 14-0 win. With that victory, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Jackson Hall made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of North Hills Christian's success: when he allows at most two hits the team is 2-1 (and 4-8 when he doesn't). Hall was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-3. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, North Hills Christian got a big performance out of Luke McLaughlin, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Those two runs gave McLaughlin a new career-high. Colton Krieg was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

North Hills Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

North Hills Christian's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Faith Academy Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
