Basketball Game Preview: Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs vs. Holmdel Hornets

The Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs will square off against the Holmdel Hornets at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Rumson-Fair Haven has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Rumson-Fair Haven is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Toms River North, posting a 90-51 victory. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Mariners are ranked 203rd), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, everything went Holmdel's way against Raritan on Saturday as Holmdel made off with a 59-34 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Holmdel is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Rumson-Fair Haven, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.

Rumson-Fair Haven beat Holmdel 60-48 in their previous meeting on January 9th. Will Rumson-Fair Haven repeat their success, or does Holmdel have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
