Soccer Recap: Vail Mountain Comes Up Short

Vail Mountain's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They lost 5-1 to the Crested Butte Titans. Vail Mountain were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Crested Butte apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Vail Mountain's goal came courtesy of Winston Pillsbury, who's now up to two this season.

Vail Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Crested Butte, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vail Mountain will welcome Summit at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crested Butte, they will be playing at home against Ridgway at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
