Basketball Recap: Columbus Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Columbus lost against Waupun back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Columbus Cardinals fell 54-47 to the Waupun Warriors. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Columbus' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-10. As for Waupun, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lodi at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Waupun, they will head out to face off against Kettle Moraine Lutheran at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Kettle Moraine Lutheran will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Waupun surely won't give up without a fight.
