Basketball Game Recap: Wilson vs. Churchland

The best player on the court between the Wilson Presidents and the Churchland Truckers on Tuesday ended up on the losing team. Freshman MICHAEL SMITH had 21 points but couldn't prevent a 78-72 defeat to Churchland. The loss dropped Wilson's record to 15-5. The victory bumped Churchland's record up to 12-9.

Wilson will take on Norview on Friday. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, the Presidents now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds. Churchland is staying on the road on Friday to face off against Norcom. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, Churchland has to be feeling especially confident with the MaxPreps rankings on their side for this one.
