Soccer Game Preview: Jimtown vs. Mishawaka Marian

The Jimtown Jimmies will face off against the Mishawaka Marian Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Jimtown is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over New Prairie. Considering Jimtown have won nine matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Emma Martin was the driving force of Jimtown's attack as she scored all five of Jimtown's goals, bringing her season total up to 39 goals.

Meanwhile, while the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was Mishawaka Marian who was credited with the win on Thursday. The Knights got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to South Bend Saint Joseph's two.

Mishawaka Marian's victory bumped their record up to 10-4-2. As for Jimtown, their win bumped their record up to 10-5-1.

Jimtown might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Mishawaka Marian when the teams last played back in October of 2019. Can the Jimmies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
