Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for East Catholic

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but East Catholic had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Lyman Memorial Bulldogs as they made off with a 17-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won nine contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Ciara Flaherty was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Katinka Nolan, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles.

The victory was the third in a row for East Catholic, bringing their record up to 11-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lyman Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

As of now, neither East Catholic nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
