Carlsbad faced Clovis in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Cavemen/Cavegirls came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 9-4. The win was familiar territory for the Cavemen/Cavegirls, who have now won six games in a row.

Carlsbad's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Clovis, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9.

Carlsbad will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
