Baseball Game Preview: Auburn Maroons vs. Fulton Red Raiders

For the second straight game, Auburn will face off against Fulton. The Maroons will head out to square off against the Red Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, Auburn needed a bit of extra time to put away Fulton. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Red Raiders 5-4. The win was some much needed relief for the Maroons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Myles McBride made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. He has become a key player for Auburn: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-3 otherwise. McBride was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.

McBride wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Adams, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run. Adams is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Cal Maher was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Fulton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
