After losing to Smithfield the last time they met, Grafton decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Clippers blew past the Packers 10-1 on Friday. Considering the Clippers have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Grafton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Smithfield, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grafton will venture away from home to challenge Jamestown at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Smithfield, they will head out to square off against Isle of Wight Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Chargers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something the Packers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
