Baseball Recap: Barrington Victorious

After only one run in their last contest, Barrington made sure to put some runs up on the board against Prospect on Friday. The Fillies/Broncos came out on top against the Knights by a score of 10-6. The win continues a trend for the Fillies/Broncos in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won five in a row.

Barrington let Caid Heick and Jackson Roberts run wild. Heick went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, while Roberts went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those three hits gave Heick a new career-high. Juilan Ashley-Friedman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Barrington's record is now 17-7-1. As for Prospect, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-9-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Barrington will square off against Lockport at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Prospect, they will challenge Plainfield Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
