Milford never got on the board in their matchup last Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Parowan on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 11-1 win. Considering the Tigers have won ten matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Judd Netto was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Toby LaOrange was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Milford's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-7 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Kilo Tsosie, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Milford's record is now 12-7. As for Parowan, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Looking ahead, Milford will be playing at home against Lincoln County at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Parowan will be paying especially close attention to the Tigers' game: after the Tigers faces off against the Lynx, they'll take on Parowan again at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
