Softball Recap: Berkley Comes Up Short

If Berkley was feeling good fresh off their 24-2 takedown of Clarenceville on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears lost 15-3 to the Grosse Pointe North Norsemen on Wednesday.

Berkley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooke Schall, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Another was Alyse Muscat, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Berkley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 18 of their last 21 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-24-1 record this season. As for Grosse Pointe North, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-14.

Coming up, Grosse Pointe North will face off against Lakeview at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Berkley will be paying especially close attention to the Norsemen's contest: after the Norsemen face off against the Wildcats, they'll take on Berkley again at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
