Volleyball Recap: Wakefield Country Day Takes a Loss

Wakefield Country Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tandem Friends Badgers. If the Owls were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Badgers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wakefield Country Day took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-11, 23-25, 23-25, 25-12, 15-10.

Wakefield Country Day's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Tandem Friends, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Wakefield Country Day will look to defend their home court on Monday against Fresta Valley Christian at 5:30 p.m. As for Tandem Friends, they will head out to take on Foxcroft at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
