Volleyball Recap: King's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over + How To Watch

If King was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Rancho Verde on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves fell 3-1 to the Paloma Valley Wildcats on Tuesday. The Wolves were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in September of 2023.

King started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-17, 25-22, 25-13.

Their offense was headlined by Brooklynn Brackenridge and Jael Moore, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Brielle Thompson and her 13 assists. Kaylie Downs controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

King moved to 9-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Paloma Valley, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

King didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Orange Vista on the 27th. As for Paloma Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against San Jacinto on the 29th.
