Basketball Game Preview: Lake View Wildcats vs. North Chicago Warhawks

The Lake View Wildcats will head out to take on the North Chicago Warhawks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lake View is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Lake View lost 63-38 to Deerfield on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 380th, while the Warriors are ranked 32nd).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Daniel Loza, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Betancourt, who had seven points.

Meanwhile, North Chicago hadn't done well against Wauconda recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. North Chicago walked away with a 64-56 win over Wauconda. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warhawks.

North Chicago's victory bumped their record up to 11-20. As for Lake View, they now have a losing record of 13-14.

Things could have been worse for Lake View, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-42 loss to North Chicago in their previous meeting back in March of 2017. Can Lake View avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
