Volleyball Recap: Wednesday's Defeat Ends Lakeview's Winning Streak

Lakeview dropped down to 11-8 on Wednesday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell 3-1 to the Boardman Spartans. Surprisingly, this marked the Bulldogs' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Ali Parise paced Lakeview's offense, picking up 11 kills. Parise got some help from Cece DeToro and her 24 assists. DeToro also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Cadence Esker, each putting up three.

As for Boardman, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Surprisingly, this marked their fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Boardman was led to victory by Sadie Satterfield and Emma Terlesky. Satterfield had 25 digs and six assists, while Terlesky had 23 assists and four digs. Satterfield has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Lakeview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Hubbard on the 2nd. As for Boardman, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Salem on the 2nd.
