Football Game Preview: Prairie Hawks vs. Cedar Falls Tigers

The Prairie Hawks will head out on the road to take on the Cedar Falls Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Prairie put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They blew past Hempstead, posting a 63-20 win. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Cedar Falls made easy work of Bettendorf on Friday and carried off a 35-11 win. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 93rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-2. As for Cedar Falls, their record now sits at 5-1.

Prairie suffered a grim 35-13 defeat to Cedar Falls in their previous meeting back in August of 2024. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
