Faith Baptist came tearing into Tuesday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 16-4 margin over the Santa Clarita Christian Cardinals. That's two games straight that the Contenders have won by exactly 12 runs.

Hailey Coronel was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs.

In other batting news, Lianna Palacios was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Rayanna Larson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Faith Baptist's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.8 runs. As for Santa Clarita Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Faith Baptist beat the Cardinals by a score of 21-5 later that day.
