Recap: Tintic Miners vs. Merit Preparatory Academy Knights
The Tintic Miners had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Merit Preparatory Academy by a score of 46-33 on Thursday. The win was just what Tintic needed coming off of a 52-30 defeat in their prior contest.
Tintic got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Samantha Grimstead out in front who scored 12 points. Kailee Carter was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Tintic's victory bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Merit Preparatory Academy, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-4.
Tintic will face off against Intermountain Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Merit Preparatory Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grand County at 4:30 p.m. on December 14th.
