Basketball Game Preview: Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs vs. Bryan County Redskins

Emanuel County Institute and Bryan County are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Bryan County Redskins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Emanuel County Institute will bounce into Friday's match after beating Claxton, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Emanuel County Institute came out on top in a nail-biter against Claxton on Wednesday, sneaking past 57-54. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Bryan County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They snuck past the Gamecocks with a 64-59 win.

Bryan County is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Emanuel County Institute, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-11 and their overall record up to 2-14.
