Basketball Recap: Clearview Takes a Loss

Clearview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Brookside Cardinals, falling 61-26. The Clippers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-15.

Brookside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Markie Aliff led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Bailey Brennen was another key player, going 5 for 12 on her way to 12 points and four steals.

Clearview's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Brookside, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-4.

Clearview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-30 defeat against Steele on the 9th. As for Brookside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-47 loss against Columbia on the 11th.
