Basketball Game Preview: Elkhart Christian Academy Eagles vs. Westview Warriors

After both having extra time off, the Elkhart Christian Academy Eagles and the Westview Warriors will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Westview took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Elkhart Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.

Elkhart Christian Academy is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing South Central: they outscored them in every quarter. Elkhart Christian Academy strolled past South Central with points to spare last Saturday, taking the game 44-28.

Meanwhile, Westview suffered their biggest loss since November 9, 2024 two weeks ago. They were beaten by Fremont 66-37. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Elkhart Christian Academy will have to contain Bre Cory as she made an impact in Westview's last game. She posted ten points and three steals. Another player making a difference was JJ Whetstone, who earned ten points.

Elkhart Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.5 points per game. As for Westview, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Elkhart Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Westview in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 45-37.
