Football Recap: Hyde Park's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Hyde Park had won four straight games and Brenden Bartholomew did his part to make it five on Friday. The Panthers came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 35-30 W against the Brentwood Christian Bears with plenty of help from Bartholomew, who rushed for 250 yards and two scores while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 102.7 rushing yards per game.

Hudson Hart was another key player, picking up 115 receiving yards and one TD. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 65 yards.

Hyde Park's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Brentwood Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hyde Park is set to take on their familiar foe Regents at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,037 yards in their previous games. Meanwhile, Brentwood Christian will challenge rival Brook Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
