Basketball Recap: Spotsylvania Takes a Loss

Spotsylvania was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They lost 59-38 to the Caroline Cavaliers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-24 last Thursday.

Spotsylvania's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Caroline, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-12 record this season.

Coming up, Spotsylvania will take on King George at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Spotsylvania is facing King George at the right time seeing as King George is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Caroline, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Chancellor at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Caroline has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
