Softball Recap: Grundy County Comes Up Short on the Road Against Whitwell

Grundy County had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Whitwell Tigers on Thursday, falling 10-2. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 17 in a row.

Grundy County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Burrows, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Whitwell now has a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Grundy County will head out to square off against Cannon County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Whitwell, they will host Baylor at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
