Soccer Recap: Charlotte Christian Takes a Loss

Charlotte Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 4-1 to the Cannon Cougars. While losing is never fun, Charlotte Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 264th, while Cannon are ranked 39th).

Charlotte Christian's goal came courtesy of Walker Thompson, who's now up to two this season.

Charlotte Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-11-1. As for Cannon, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-7-1.

Charlotte Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cannon, they will welcome Carmel Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
