It was a Battle of the Birds when Silverado challenged Valley View on Tuesday. The Hawks put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 50-28 win. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

Valley View's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenneth Batts, who posted seven points. Davion Moore also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Silverado and bumps their season record up to 6-1. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 25 points. As for Valley View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Silverado will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Rancho Verde at 6:30 p.m. As for Valley View, they and Coachella Valley will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest, having both just played.
