Softball Game Preview: North Posey Vikings vs. Barr-Reeve Vikings

North Posey will take on Barr-Reeve at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. North Posey is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

North Posey managed to slip by Boonville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Vikings came up short against the Pioneers on Thursday, falling 8-2. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lily Hester made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Versteeg, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Barr-Reeve put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 4-1 win over Jasper.

North Posey's loss dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Barr-Reeve, their victory bumped their record up to 19-0.
