It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but May River ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with a 12-8 victory over the Bluffton Bobcats. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Sharks considering their one-run performance the contest before.

May River saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Konte, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Konte a new career-high in RBI (two). Trace Mischik was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

May River has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Bluffton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Coming up, May River will challenge Beaufort at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Sharks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bluffton, they will face off against Hilton Head Island at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Seahawks will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight.
