Acadiana Home School Athletics extended their road winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Julia West. The Commandos put the hurt on the Word of God Academy Force with a sharp 3-0 win on Saturday with plenty of help from West, who had 17 kills, six aces, and three digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 18 times she's played.

Acadiana Home School Athletics walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 25-13.

Acadiana Home School Athletics' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caitlin Hoffpauir led the charge by getting 21 assists and three aces. Another player making a difference was Emily Mader, who had six kills and three aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Acadiana Home School Athletics was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Acadiana Home School Athletics' record now sits at 17-5. As for Word of God Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-14.

As of now, neither Acadiana Home School Athletics nor the Force have any future games scheduled.
